Verification FAQs
How long does verification take?
We review all applications within 3 business days. If we need additional information we’ll contact you directly at the email provided in your application.
What if my application is declined?
If your application doesn’t meet our requirements we’ll let you know why and give you the opportunity to resubmit. Your fee is held and applied to your resubmission.
Do I need to be a registered business to get verified?
No — individual freelancers and sole proprietors can also be verified. The requirements differ slightly but verification is open to all legitimate professionals.
How does annual renewal work?
Your verification badge is valid for 12 months. We’ll remind you before it expires. Annual renewal is R150 for individuals and R250 for businesses.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes — all documents are used solely for verification purposes, stored securely, and never shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I upgrade from Verified to Silver or Gold later?
Yes — your Verified badge remains active when you upgrade. Silver and Gold memberships include verification as part of the package, so your annual renewal fee (R150/yr) is covered for as long as you remain a member. The R350 once-off verification fee is not refunded or credited — it covers the cost of the initial human review of your documents.
